If you are thinking about watching 24, or letting your kids watch 24, this article is just for that. 24 is a gripping suspense series about a man named Jack Bauer. Jack used to work a company called CTU, but it was shut down by the government because of illegal behaviors, such as wire taps/ unlawful interrogations. Jack is a counter terrorist agent, who fights terrorists in order to protect his country. 

Each season of 24 is set up like a day. Each episode is one hour long, but instead of like in most television series, where one episode can span hours, even days, each hour long episode of 24 takes up exactly one hour in “The world of Jack Bauer”. This provides for an action packed feel that no other shows can match.

Personally I give this show a 10/10. It is extremely suspenseful and it seems as if each new episode introduces a new twist, which constantly keeps me guessing. The only potential drawbacks to 24 is that there are some scenes of intense violence, such as “interrogations” (tortures) by Jack. The interrogations are not graphic, but you get the idea, and so will your kids. There is some language, but characters do not make a point of swearing. It only occurs in scenes of intense stress.

So If you are looking to get onboard with 24, I would highly recommend it. In my house it has become a family affair, as we all sit together in the living room and watch 24 when it is on. The latest season has recently come to a close, but there are many cliff hangers left open, which will pick right back up in the newest season.
