Funny Things About 24

Three funny things about 24.

There are a couple of things I find funny about 24. They’re some things we’ve got to ask ourselves.

When do the main characters eat?

Is it after Jack pants some words of impending doom and the scene cuts to the President’s affairs that agent Walker walks up with a mouthful of hot dog and says to Jack, “Hey, you want a burrito?”

How can Jack honestly take down so many hostiles in one day without any remorse?

Makes you wonder if he says, “Okay Bauer, 20 guys wasted and it ain’t even lunchtime. Hmm, you’re getting soft in your old age.”

When do the main characters sleep?

Hey Jack it’s important to catch up on some zzz’s; sleep’s good for your health. I wonder if he might doze off during a heated gun battle and get hit? Then again maybe he suffers from insomnia. Figures too since he must have a prickling conscience with the 20 guys he thought about while he had the bad burrito, unbeknownst to him, at lunch.

Now I love this show, but when you reflect on the day you know you are gonna ask the same questions.

    Interesting questions to ponder.

You might have to pay a little more attention if you watch the show. If you don’t, you should; this article makes it sound like you don’t.

    1. I’ve seen people eating on quite a few occasions. I caught Tony eating the same thing over 2 episodes. Jack ate breakfast with Diane in season 5. They probably eat when they’re not on screen. It’s an action show in real time, you wouldn’t wanna watch people eat would you? That’s when they put in an unrealated backstory. That way, people can eat.

    2. I can’t even begin to talk about this one. Really? It’s not like he’s killing innocent people out there. Besides, he does show remorse. He shows it a lot! And people in the military gun down as many people as Jack does in one day. He shows remorse the same way they do. You might not notice because he is really hardened.

    3. Haven’t you ever pulled an all nighter? Hell, I’ve done it when there was total silence and darkness, much less people shooting at me. Irrelevant. It’s not like the seasons are back-to-back anyhow.

Well, I take your points, bucknut. But remember this is satire… a bit of comedy. I could sit down and come up with reasonable answers to my own questions here. I could even come up with a scientific reason why Superman is affected by kryptonite! But on first, second, maybe even third glance these questions make you go hmmm… That was my intention.
