Game of Thrones is a TV series that was aired by HBO on April 17, 2011. It was based on the best selling novel series called “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George R. R. Martin. The plot centers on the kingdom’s noble families as they battle and aim for the control of the throne. The show is filled with action, drama, suspense, romance, and humor. It received positive response from critics. It was also nominated and won few awards. The facebook page have more than 2 million fans.  The show was broadcasted in 61 countries. The first season was composed of 10 episodes, each one with 60 minutes running time. The 1st season was based on the first book entitled “A Game of Thrones. The second season already aired this April (2012) and it was based on the second book called “A Clash of Kings.” The show has already been renewed for third season which will also be consist of 10 episodes and will be based on the third book entitled “A Storm of Swords.” The 3rd season will be aired next year (2013).

Legend of the Seeker is a TV series that was aired by ABC Studios. It premiered on November 1, 2008 and ended on May 22, 2010. Though it consist of two seasons still it was worth watching for. The show was based on the novel series called “The Sword of Truth” by Terry Goodkind. The show deals with sorcery, magic, supernatural theme and filled with action, drama, suspense, romance, and humor. Each season was composed of 22 episodes, each one with 42 minutes running time. It was also aired in different countries. Though it received positive response from critics still it got cancelled because of low ratings. They say it was one of the best fantasy shows on TV so many were really disappointed when it ended.

The Pillars of the Earth is a historical TV series based on the book with the same name written by Ken Follet. It was aired on 2010 and has eight episodes. The plot is about the buliding of a cathedral in the factitious town of Kingsbridge during a boisterous era of English history known as The Anarchy in the 12th century. This show received positive reviews and was nomitated at the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards. The continuation of the series is already in production and will be based on the sequel book called “World Without End”, also written by Ken Follett. The said sequel show will be aired later this year (2012).

Merlin is a TV series that began airing on September 20, 2008 in BBC One, a British TV channel. It was also aired on US through SyFy. So far it already have 4 seasons, each have 13 episodes. The production for the fifth season is already on going and will be aired later this year (2012). The show is loosely based on Arthurian Legends about a warlock named Merlin and his adventure. The show was aired on 17 countries. It got a high ratings from IMDb and many says it’s a good family drama.  The special effects were also good as well as the story. If you want a show that was filled with fun and thrill then you should check this out.
