One Tree Hill

It’s the new season of One Tree Hill. Here are my thoughts about the episode.

Here’s what happened:

The episode started at the hospital and then there was a flashback of Nate trying to save Cooper and Rachel. Luke and Karen showed up in the nick of time to save Nathan, Cooper, and Rachel. Luke saved Cooper first, but Hailey thought that he was Nathan. Luke couldn’t find Nathan and Rachel at first because the car was gone. They ended up out of the car and on the side of the lake. I wonder how they all got out of the car since the water rose up to the top of the car.

Dan thought about what he did to Keith. He was haunted by Keith as a kid. Someone put blood on his walls. Murder was spelled out on his wall. Dan confronted Debbie about how she tried to kill him. He choked her and threatened her. I enjoyed how he did that to her. Her actions are what got Keith killed. She shouldn’t have gotten away with trying to kill Dan. If she had her way, she would have carried on as if nothing happened. I don’t know about you all, but I like how Dan wants to make Debbie suffer for what she did.

Peyton burned pics of her and Brooke together. She had a pic of the two of them and Luke together. She ripped the picture and kept Luke’s picture with hers. I am torn about this situation. I think that Brooke has a right to be upset with Peyton for what she did with Luke. I also think that Brooke may have overreacted. Peyton was honest with her about her feelings for Luke this time. She didn’t just kiss Luke and keep her in the dark about it the way she did the last time. I have to admit though; I did love the slap that Brooke gave Peyton. I certainly didn’t mind seeing that again.

Peyton found a letter from her mother telling her that she has a brother. I’m sure he will be added to the cast at some point. I hope he doesn’t overstay his welcome. That does tend to happen when the guest stars stay on the show too long.

Brooke saw Peyton and Luke hugging each other at the hospital. I figured that would have happened. I think it’s going to keep happening.

Last season, there were three possible pregnancies (Rachel, Brooke, and Hailey). One can be eliminated. Rachel lied to Coop about being pregnant. Brooke told Luke that she wasn’t pregnant, but that may not be true. Hailey had something to tell Nate just before the accident. It turned out that she was accepted to Stanford. Brooke and Hailey were at the doctor’s office, but the doctor didn’t say who was definitely pregnant. It’s still up in the air who is pregnant.

The police thought that Rachel had something to do with the accident. The cop told her to pray that Coop lived to tell him about the accident. Luckily for Rachel, the doctors were able to save Coop after he flat lined.

Rachel seemed to be getting closer to Brooke. She invited Brooke to stay in her house since she moved out of Peyton’s house. I’m not sure if that’s going to be such a good idea. It’s going to be weird to see them getting along.

Brooke ended things with Luke. Hmm, I wonder why that happened. Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray did get a real life divorce so that may have something to do with the break up. I wonder how long it will be before they get back together this time.

Dan tried to reach out to Karen. He wanted to be there for her and the baby. He wanted to be a father to the baby. She let him know that Keith was her baby’s father.

Debbie started drinking and taking drugs. I don’t know why she did this. Is she trying to kill herself? Is she trying to get out of what she did to Dan?

Nate kept flashing back to saving Coop and Rachel. I have a feeling that this will end up coming between them. You have to see the previews to understand why he was acting weird about the accident. It turns out that he is a false hero. He didn’t save Coop and Rachel after all. We’ll have to tune in ext week to find out what really happened when Nate went under water.

My only complaint about this episode was with the soundtrack. The music was really loud in some of the scenes. It was starting to get hard to hear the dialogue. Other than that, I am glad that the show is back on again. The hour flew by to me. The previews for next week look pretty good. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

That’s all for now. See you again next week.
