Role Model: Ugly Betty’s Assistant to Daniel Meade, Betty Suarez

Betty Suarez is an excellent role because she uses her intelligence and confidence to get things done even with the greatest of obstacles before her.

Beatriz “Betty” U. Suarez is the Executive Assistant to Editor In Chief Daniel Meade at Mode Magazine in the television series Ugly Betty. Picked personally by Daniel’s father, Bradford Meade, to be his assistance because she is average looking in comparison to the rest of the staff. Her interest in working for a publication is that she that her goal is to become a magazine publisher. Betty is working to make her dreams come true, and working at Mode gets her foot in the door to making her way up in the industry with Meade Publications. Betty is a role model because she does what she has to do to take care of her family and make her dreams come true. For that matter, she does what she needs to do to get the job done at work.

Betty has an excellent memory and is very good at reading people and attitudes. She is a take-charge girl. Betty more than showed it when she took charge of the photo shoot. She also saved the Fabia account for Daniel. In addition, she attended to Daniel after he was humiliated on national television by Sofia. She also knows how to handle Amanda Tanen, the receptionist, and Marc St. James, the assistant to Wilhelmina Slater, the magazine’s Creative Director. She even has a handle on Alexis Meade.

Betty uses her skill, confidence and intelligence in handling every matter that comes up that needs attention. Betty is very dependable, and proves she is more than just an assistant who can fetch coffee.
