Too Much Television News

As cable and satellite customers, we love the fact that we can receive so many different entertainment channels in which we could sit back, relax and watch our television programs. However, we are overwhelmed by the number of television news channels that will go overboard to report anything and everything imaginable or not.

In America, we are priveledged to have the right to be informed about what goes on in our country. From politics to sports to entertainers showing themselves off in their not getting paid to entertain us way. But how much news is too much? We have a former prosecutor show hosted by Nancy Grace who often have guests to prove that innocent until proven guilty only works in a real courtroom. And she is on Fox Newschannel in my area seems like twenty four hours a day.

Then there is Court TV where you are a spectator at every trial from OJ Simpson’s to Phil Specter’s and the regular everyday people that committed crimes. We have CNN where it seems that anyone that wants to host a show to talk about people who have power or who wants it can have a job. Glenn Beck, Geraldo Rivera,Joe Scarborough and even Pat Robertson and every other boring person that wants to talk to us until we fall asleep. Isn’t our country great? We will be informed of matters of National Security whether our enemies like it or not.
