Yes, Constantine is definitely a contender- the first Idol nominated for a Tony Award (Best Actor in a Musical. Not only is he starring on Broadway for 8 shows a week (in the Tony nominated musical, Rock of Ages), he is concurrently continuing his own solo career with ‘A Night At the Rock Show,’ and playing monthly to sold out audiences.

Diana didn’t “go away.” If you follow Broadway you’ll know she’s been doing musicals for most of the past couple years. Also, she has more recent music. Check out “Unplugged in Nashville,” her independently produced acoustic country EP.

I am a fan of x-factor exactly the same programme but in Britain. I too enjoy the transformation of raw talent into pop stars/recording artists. I only get annoyed when the programme makers [simon cowell] put ratings before the talent and make contraversial decisions to win t.v. ratings. Great article and clips.
