A review on the television show Beauty and the geek.
Beauty and the geek was a relatively new reality television programme made in America (of course).

The producers looked for about 10 geeks and 10 beauties to compete against one another in their specialised areas. They paired a geek with a beauty and they all had to live together in a lovely big house/mansion and learn from one another. Each week they would put the contestants against one another in group activities and in one on one competitions.
The geeks would have to help the beauties and vice versa during each task. For example once they were asked to make a rocket which could fly from an empty soda bottle. They were allowed to use baking soda, fire, a real rocket/fire work and other various items to make their rocket and then send it shooting into the sky. They would have specific conditions such as the beauties would have to make the item and the geek can only stand, watch and offer spoken advice to them as they made it. The winner would then be exempt from being kicked out of the house and the programme.
Then they would have another task for them to do this time the geeks would be the ones to carry out the task such as applying massage oil to a beauty who was not their partner. Then the winning team are made exempt from being kicked out of the house.
At the end of the week the two couples or the couple who are exempt have to pick a pair each or two pairs of a beauty and geek and they have to beat one another at a game of 5 questions. The teams have to learn about a certain topic in beauty and in science and then be asked 5 questions each about the subject. The beauties are asked their questions first, if one beauty gets 4 out of 5 questions right and the other 2 out of 4 then the first beauty and geek pair win. If both beauties get 4 out of 5 or 5 out of 5 each then the geeks have to answer questions in their subject area.
After one pair loses they are kicked out of the house and the other pair get to go back into the house for another week.
This show had me hooked the first season and it was funny to see the differences in values the beauties and geeks had. As a pair it was fun to see them grow together and sometimes the beauty and the geek become good friends at the end of the show. If you ever get a chance to see this I recommend it, it has some funny bits especially when the beauties show how blond they can be by asking silly questions and the geeks try to relax and talk with the beauties.
