Enough is enough, how much reality television does America need to see.
I am sick and tired of reality shows! If I see one more show with this phrase “Do you have love for _____, take your glass, or take your rose, or take your clock…lol” I mean don’t get me wrong I enjoy watching people who are apparently going through life struggles, it is a bit, entertaining to see how they handle themselves in various situations. My absolute favorite part is to witness them blow up, that my friends….is priceless. However, enough is enough! Get a grip! When will we come to the end of this reality show phase. First we have everyone wanting to be a superstar, ok, that has been done to death. Next we have, reality bulk dating shows, 1 man vs. 100 women or vice versa. Then we have, the prize giveaway show where you jump through hoops to win $50,000 to $1,000,000. Then we have the bisexual dating shows with Tila, I’m just as confused as she is just thinking about it.
To me it’s like, you’ve seen one reality show, you’ve seen them all. It’s all the same thing, the same bottom line, just a different version on another channel. Reality shows have completely taken over television. Last night I was just flipping through the channels and if it’s not the news, its most definitely another reality show, or pathetic reruns of shows that aired eons ago. I must admit when I was first introduced to reality shows, I was hooked, because I couldn’t believe that people would want to air their dirty laundry on T.V., I thought that was insane, however, I do watch a few until one day I made an assessment of what I was watching, and it just so happens that almost every show I was watching was a reality show. So when I was not watching Young and the Restless or Desperate Housewives
, I was watching Ray J, New York, Making the Band, Amazing Race, Big Brother, even Flavor Flav

. It appeared as though I was getting sucked into the web of reality T.V., and if I didn’t cut myself off completely I would still be mesmerized by the drama in other people’s lives. I admit, I was a reality show junkie and I am sure that I am not alone. Unfortunately, I couldn’t weed myself off of the shows until my favorite shows were over. There are quite a few reality shows that I would consider watching if they came back for another season, such as; Ray J (because let’s face it, I wasn’t crazy about his crying new girl friend, I was rooting for Danger, at least she had heart and would cut a ********** if he got out of line.) Or Making the Band, quite frankly, I would rather see a reality show titled Day26, the reason I watch that show is because of Day26 and I like Brian, he is a cutie! And let’s not forget G’s to Gent’s. So yes, if my favorite shows return for another season, I will watch it faithfully. However, these producers need to pull the plug on the rest of them. What did it for me, was when I saw a dumb *** show about Paris finding a new bff, I’m thinking to myself, are you kidding me? Who cares if she finds a new best friend, is she going to give them money? Is she going to pay their tuition? Is she going to pay their mortgage? What would you really gain from being her bff? Big freaking deal, did that really need to become a reality show? Come on now, pull the plug on that show quick! Enough already! We get it, people are fascinating, at this point they are just being used as exhibits for the whole world to see, and say “oooh, look at what they did” Or “did you see that?” That is something we don’t need. Then I was thinking how we are watching these people do absolutely nothing and they are banking on our views. These people are getting paid just to fake drama. At first I thought ok, they are having real issues until I viewed a site stating that they want to hire the most unstable, emotional wreck that they could find (Of course they didn’t use those words exactly, however that was the bottom line.) For example, on Making the Band, did you ever wonder what really ticked Q off? Even by the end of the show, everyone was like WTF was that all about? They had episodes that reached the point of escalation in the beginning of the show, to where we were speculating that Q was Bipolar. If you look back on certain shows, why do they always get to the point of being so upset that they are ready to fight, nevertheless, no one actually comes to blows, and even if they did come to blows the punches only land in mid-air. If you watch your next reality show, synchronize your watches, because the next argument is scheduled to start in________.
