Reality TV has been, and still is, growing in this viral disillusioned lifestyle we all now live. Every mainstream television episode that airs seem to reflect a life to which all privacy and normalcy is taken away from a single being. The best part… we now call them TV Stars- as if they can even be considered nearly as talented and credible as a hard working REAL Actor/ Actress. It’s hard to put a finger on it…

What keeps our attention on reality TV? It must be the mere fact that we are in the mind-set that it is ‘real’. We love real life stories, situations, and drama! Not to mention the raw ability to poke fun of the ‘idiot’ who is even trying to find love out of a bucket of hand-picked men/ women. I guess Ryan & Trista (Bachelor) made it after-all. Heck, even The Cougar found her young play-mate, so we are led to believe. Perhaps it is real. It’s hard to back up reality TV amidst the run-around Hollywood and show business portrays.
How much of it is acting? Bueller, Bueller… Anybody? It’s crazy to think that we get sucked into someone else’s life so easily and effectively. And is it fair to pop the question- is it real, or more or less fake? Do these reality stars have a natural talent and ability to act? Are they coached to “put on a show”? I’m still pondering the concept of reality TV. it just keeps getting worse… Did you check out that one latest from MTV called ‘The Phone’? Even Justin Timberlake couldn’t pull through the success of a reality TV show now-a-days. MTV’s ‘The Real World’ and ‘Road rules Challenge’ makes sense. Real people living together having their lives filmed 24/7- we can see how that plays off of the Cosby Show (considered 1st reality TV way back when). But what about the rest?
Either way, what kind of credibility writes the label Reality Star?
