What a controversy was caused when they stayed in last Saturday on X Factor.

Should Jedward Stay or Go?
We have watched these twins John and Edward performing on the X Factor for several weeks now. They are 18 years old and hail from Ireland. Up until last weekend, it appeared that the whole of the Emerald Isle was voting for them.
They cannot sing, or dance, but they are entertaining, and do have the likability factor. After they have performed everyone is smiling, and that can’t be a bad thing. As the singers gradually leave the competition, the rivalry gets keener, and they are now against singers with really good voices.
Last weekend saw them in the bottom two, singing against Lucie, who has an amazing singing voice. It looked like time was up for our stalwart two, who have had to endure insults and derision for some time now. The last vote rested with Simon Cowell, but to the utter amazement of the whole nation, he put it to the public vote, which meant that as they had more votes than Lucie, they stayed in.
Since then the public have been up in arms, emailing the programme and complaining that Simon Cowell said he hated them, but still allowed them to be kept in. Lucie’s hopes of stardom appear to be dashed, and she must be so confused, as she clearly has a lovely voice.
Whatever reason it was that made Simon act that way, we can only guess at, but I’m sure that this Saturday night will see many people tune in to see whether the luck of the twins will run out, or whether someone else with a good voice will go. Whatever happens, it will keep everyone on the edge of their seats. All I ask now is whether X Factor is purely for entertainment, or is is to find the next star?
Great info…
Lets see..

I don’t get it. They are not entertaining. I find them extremely irritating. They should go.
Simon Cowell wasn’t going to be the one to vote them out of the show as they are a major cause of controversy and controversy increases viewing figures (and telephone votes). The more he can get people to squabble over whether the talentless two should stay or go, the more money he makes from the whole enterprise.
we don’t have x factor here.
