Lana Lang is a role model because she shows she can overcome obstacles.
Lana Lang of the television series Smallville is a role model, and the girl Clark Kent is in love with. She believes in total honesty. She misses her parents who she lost when the meteor shower hit Smallville. Her Aunt Nell raised her.
Lana is just as willing to follow tradition, as she is to break it. She was on the cheerleading squad because her mother had been on the squad. For that same reason, alone she broke tradition and went to go work at the Beanery to be her own person. When things do not go in her direction, you can often find her nose in a book doing some defensive reading. She also enjoys riding horses and has won a lot of competitions.
Lana is not afraid to admit when she made a mistake, like when she was working for the Beanery, and she was let go, why? Lana dropped too many plates. Despite that, she is more than willing to try again. Later on she ends up living over the Beanery and running it. She goes into business with Lex Luthor. She also follows her dreams and goes to Paris. She does not make fun of people.
Lana does not like to be the center of attention. When Nell throws her a party at Lex Luthor’s home that is considered a big spread, she would much rather have a smaller party with pizza and soda and friends.
Lana always thinks of other people, and helps them when they need study help. She sets her sites high she make the most she can for herself and opens the door to new opportunities.
