The Other Explosion in Nyc

The Real Housewives are a piece of work!

Here are a few of my personal opinions on the current dramas being played out on The Real Housewives of NYC.

Bethanny is obviously going through some dramatic times in her life. Losing a parent, getting married for the first time, having a baby and dealing with vicious so-called friends is a lot to have on one’s plate. I wish her only the best and hope that she and Jason have a healthy baby and a wonderful life. My only advice to her is dump everyone but Alex and enjoy yourself. She needs to chill out before she drives herself nuts.

LuAnn is beyond the “snake” character that Bethanny accused her of being. With her “Dahlings” and “Sweethearts”, she is a horrid person. Even though we don’t have any royalty in America if we did, LuAnn would never qualify for any title other than the one that starts with a “B”. She constantly interferes in everyone’s business and has appointed herself the “go to” ambassador where it concerns all manner of behavior. Countess, you are of no account and your choice in men is almost as bad as your choice in jewelry. It’s a good thing that you are a big woman or your statement necklaces would weigh you down to the ground. On second thought, snakes belong on the ground so perhaps your choice of humongous neck wear is appropriate. You add nothing to the show and certainly are no friend to any of those women. Your every move is made to advance yourself in society or further entrench you into the New York social scene. Good luck, you are standing outside looking in and always will be unless you luck into marrying above your status once again.

Alex is a real person and that’s rare on these reality shows. She and Simon are charming, honest and talented. I would consider myself lucky to have them as friends. LuAnn commented that Alex’s behavior was out of character and for once she was right. Alex is a lady and although I totally agree with her feelings and actions toward Jill the Pill, she isn’t forceful enough to be heard. Speak up louder, Alex, you are worth listening too.

Jill is beyond horrid. Everything is about her and her entire reason for being is to make new connections and make others dependent upon her for favors. She then counts up those favors that she bestows on people and comes to collect when she deems it appropriate. What a loser. Jill cries or runs away from confrontations, especially when she is wrong and her poor, sweet husband backs her up. It reminds me of a nerdy guy who got the cute girl in school and is so grateful that he will do anything to protect his investment. Bethanny and anyone else with half a brain would be wise to stay out of Jill Zarin’s orbit. She is truly the toxic one on the show and probably in real life. Her plastic looking yenta mother raised a yenta in training and being around her (or watching her in my case), is tiring and annoying. I wish that I could have stood beside Alex when she attempted to tell Jill off. I would have made sure that Jill heard what we had to say before she could pull her dramatic cry and run act.

Kelly is so useless and stupid that I have nothing to say about her. Go ride your horse and ask more people if they are wearing underware, Kelly. That’s about all she’s good for.

Ramona has a big heart underneath her bi-polar self and I suspect that if you need someone to stick by you in a crisis that Ramona would fit the bill perfectly. Her daughter is beautiful and smart and her husband is loyal to a fault so she has it pretty good. With a few meds Ramona could be a real star of the show.

The new girls, Sonia and Jennifer are useless additions to an already well established cast of characters and really add nothing to the show or the plot. If they went away right now I wouldn’t even notice.

LuAnn’s song is horrid and she can’t sing…period. without the sound effects it would be even more laughable than “Tardy For The Party”. If LuAnn and Kim did a duet the world would probably come to an end!!

Until next time……dahlings…
