71 Degrees North &Ndash; Episode Four &Ndash; TV Review

In episode four, it is clear that everyone is suffering from fatigue; they’re cold, tired and are not looking their best. As such, the tasks have been made simpler, much simpler.

The group  task was a simple trek over deep snow to the base of a cliff where their tents were hanging forty metres in the air. Each group then spent the night in their suspended tents before, in the morning, choosing one team member to take on the task one hundred metres off the ground.

Ropes were strung between two rocky pillars with a flag on each; the pair were then to make their way across the ropes, collect their flag and return. The first back wins the group task. Joe Absolom won and his group spent the night in a log cabin, as usual.

The individual taks was just a simple, if not moreso. A number of head to head reindeer pulled sled races saw Shane Ricthie win and gain immunity from eviction.

The eviction was equally as dull; although an attempt to get rid of Gavin, the strongest and most successful contestant, the obvious choice was chosen – the Scottish woman who I have never heard of, nor can recall her name.
