Award-winning Tv Series "glee" Welcomes Charice in Next Season
Charice is my family’s favorite and since her incredible performances were posted in the Internet, we followed her rise to international stardom. Her sad life story was vividly told in the hundreds of news and TV documentaries and her God-given musical voice caught the attention of the world music industry. Her super-fast continuing rise to global stardom inspires many. She is in the news again when news broke out that she won a role in the top-rating and award-winning American TV series – Glee.
YouTube sensation Charice, now an international singing star, confirmed in her Twitter account that she had won a role for the smash-hit US TV musical-drama-comedy show Glee. The show recently made a record in one episode of drawing 13.7 million viewers.
“Glee” is an American television series on the Fox station in the US. It is a story about a high school show choir called Glee Club at a fictional William McKinley High School in Ohio.
The show won the 2010 Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series for Musical or Comedy. Its stars received nominations: Best Actress for Lea Michele, Best Actor for Matthew Morrison, and Best Supporting Actress for Jane Lynch. Glee also won a People’s Choice Award for Favorite New TV Show this year. It also received a Peabody Award in its first season.
Charice’s talent was discovered at a young age of 4 by her mother who was a band singer who taught her the basics after which Charice started joining singing competitions. A video from one of these talent shows was posted in the internet which got her an invitation from a talent show in Korea. Her amazing Korean stint was also posted on YouTube and got the attention of Ellen Degeneres who immediately featured her in her show. The video was also noticed by top composer and manager David Foster and the very influential top American host Oprah Winfrey who joined hands to promote her and turn her into a global singing superstar.
Entertainment Weekly magazine reported that Charice, now 18, would play “as a foreign-exchange student” in Glee, “whose killer vocals get Rachel (Lea Michele) contemplating murder.” Another report by FilipinOnLine says, “Charice will have a recurring role” in “multiple episodes.”
Charice earlier denied being cast in Glee because the report wasn’t true at that time. She did audition after that and later confirmed in her Twitter account that she passed the tryout and it is official. Glee emailed Charice of the good news.
Charice recently launched her first international album entitled “Charice” in the Oprah Show which includes the latest hit song “Pyramid’. She was joined in the song by another rising rapper Iyaz. The album debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard charts. David Foster also composed a song exclusively for her entitled “In This Song” and is included in the album.
The cast of Glee now welcomes a new member to its ranks next season. And we wish Charice the best of luck.

I love Charice! She has such an amazing voice. She’s like the Miley Cyrus of the Philippines. I’ve watched a couple of episodes of Glee and I thought it was good but now that Charice is going to be there I can’t wait for season two.

Well, anyway it’s very interesting to put 3 more characters in Glee, Fantastic idea, hoe that it will be just like the first one, not like shrek, in the 2nd movie, they absolutly ruinned it.

Its just a story. Charice is amazing. Glee can make Rachel or Charice look better than the other. I’m sure the story ends with the two becoming good friends.Happy ending.
A well written review, I don’t know this singer but she does have a beautiful voice.
This girl is one of a kind. Very talented with a powerful. I’ve seen a lot of her videos on youtube and she really amazed me. She is a great addition on Glee. Wow!
It’s awesome to have a very talented amazing voice of charice be included in GLEE show.
I believe Charice will be an addendum to their more successes.

The problem charice present is that she might steal the spotlight. She always does. What’s gonna happen when she sings and give it her all and the rest are just amatuer next to her. That’s how good she really is. She can hit the higest note. And can have wide array of singing skills effortlessly. This might be awkward for some when she does still the show
Im sure the Glee writers will be the one to dictate what will be the outcome of the story between Charice and Lea. It will be very pleasant with a lesson. Lets not worry too much. lol

Lea is the star on Glee so her character will be protected, of course. Humbled maybe but will prevail. As long as the character Charice plays has “good character” – I will be happy. We shouldn’t have Operation Smile’s Youth Ambassador doing anything too crazy
Oh, am excited to watch her on Glee. She’s very talented.
Her rendition of the Philippine National Anthem is the best I’ve heard so far among the solo performances. Finally, we have one who took the reminders to heart.
