Celebrity Status

Celebrity Status.

The stars in the sky in being known, and into being a human star of the unknown. I have been told, I look like a movie star, but a money paying patron too show business. It was September 1983, I took a 7 days vacation in Los Angeles, California, and stayed at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Los Angeles in the Regency Club on a special penthouse floor with a Butler, and a key too the elevator, which went nonstop. If I had a guest, they had to be announced. I was showered with wine, chocolates and cookie’s every night. I made reservations with American Sightseeing Tours too see the sights, and became a sight of my own. We visited Universal Studios Hollywood, and we entered through the front lot, where all celebrities come through. I had just passed through the gates of Universal, and all of sudden, there were some other tourist, not with our group, who made an announcement, there’s a movie star, pointing at me. They rushed too get my autograph, but was disappointed when I told them, I was just a tourist like them. They still said, “I look like a star”. I had a nice tan, and my hair was permed relaxed, and had a thick black moustache at 25 years old. They thought I was Billie Dee Williams. Being I came from a showbiz family from Broadway, Music, Business, and the movie screen. I guess, it was bound too happen. I have a cousin, who is in the movies, and lives in West Hollywood, California.

In another mistaken movie stint, this time it happened in San Diego, California at Littlefields Restaurant, similar too the Brown Derby in Hollywood. There were pictures of movie stars all around the restaurant. I was staying at the Executive Hotel in Downtown San Diego. As I began too order my meal, the female servers were bringing me food I didn’t order, and were feeding me the food. They paid only attention too me, and skipped the customers. All eyes were on me from customers. One female server even brought me a whole Vanilla Layer Cake, and I explained, “I can’t eat all of this”. I had a big dinner that night, and I didn’t have too pay the bill, as it was on the house by the Restaurant Manager. No lights, Camera, and me, but experienced what a life of a movie star would be.
