New Television Show Tells The Truth

“The Forgotten” chronicles the 40,000 dead unidentified bodies in the U.S.

A new TV drama, “The Forgotten”, is based on horrendous facts in the U.S: As of May, 2006, there were some 40,000 dead unidentified bodies in the morgues of the country. The show, starring Christian Slater, premieres on September 22, at 10pm on ABC. Slater has starred in movies that have won Academy Awards.

It was front page news in late May, 2006 when the USA Today first reported news of the 40,000 unidentified dead. Congress has been receiving emails about the situation for three years.

Who were these people? In reality, the mystery continues for many of the bodies.

To put the numbers in context, some 58,000 Americans died in the Vietnam conflict.

TV news is notorious for publishing incorrect assertions or obscuring the truth. It was Walter Cronkite who reported that a lone assassin shot President John F. Kennedy. Cronkite was honored with numerous awards despite one of the biggest mistakes in history. The public later learned that Kennedy was probably not killed by a lone assassin, and that’s where the truth stands today.

Is the new TV show a triumph for the First Amendment? People will draw their own conclusions.

The show is “The Forgotten”.
