The million dollar question of our childhood becoming reality – Who’s the deadliest warrior? A “scientific” approach, based on the study of different weapons and techniques, to who is the “deadliest warrior” of all times.
“Who’s is the deadliest warrior ever?” was my million dollar childhood question! I endured many fist fights trying to convince my “opponents” that a Jedi knight can take out a ninja anytime, or that Superman can run circles around Spiderman. During that time the thought that one day somebody will come up with a ’scientific’ answer to my question gave me hopes that my chase to find out who’s the deadliest warrior will end and truth will be revealed, once and for all! And here I am, a 34 years old, who served in military, finding myself glued to my seat in front of my tv watching Spike TV’s “Deadliest Warrior”, show which debuted April 7, at 10:00PM EST.
The idea is genial and is more likely to attract a large audience since the show producers came up with some pretty witty show-offs like Pirate vs. Knight, Taliban vs. IRA, Yakuza vs. Mafia, Viking vs. Samurai, Green Beret vs. Spetznaz, Maori vs. Shaolin Monks, William Wallace vs. Shaka Zulu and Ninja vs. Spartan which will be aired each Monday night on Spike TV. Using the ‘latest’ computer technology, hi-tech dummies simulating a human body including the internal organs, real weapons and trained fighters like Chuck Liddell, the show is bound to become a hit even if there are critics contesting the ’scientific’ aspect of it! The first episode, Apache vs. Gladiator, was a pretty accurate display of the weapons and tactics used by both warriors, ‘enriched’ by the colorful UFC type trash talk which representatives of the both camps used to discredit each other!
