Thunder, Thunder, Thundercats are Being Revived on Cartoon Network
Children and adults alike enjoyed the action of the cartoon, Thundercats in the 1980’s. Cartoon Network will revive this action cartoon favorite. Lion-O and The Thundercats are on the move again.
I won’t even pretend that this was a childhood favorite cartoon of mine. I was an adult and loved The Thundercats in the mid-80’s. For at least 30 minutes each day, or whenever I could catch the show, I was glued to the set watching The Thundercat action. I enjoyed watching the leader, Lion-O fight against various villains who were always attempting to destroy him and his team. Whenever, Lion-O got in over his head, he would raise the Sword of Omens and shout, ‘Thunder, Thunder, Thundercats!!!’ A signal would go up into the sky and his team, which included his faithful sidekick and companion, Snarf, would rush to his side. The battle was on and The Thundercats, Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara, Wilykit and Wilykat, were always victorious.
Now, the wise executives at the Cartoon Network will bring The Thrundercats back to life. On July29, 2011, there will be a one-hour premiere of the revived series at 7 pm central. Believe me, I can’t wait. Seriously? That’s awesome! ^.^ I used to love that show when I was little! They were showing it on Cartoon Network until the late ’90s, then they only aired it at 5:30, before Transformers, then they took both of those shows off entirely. Was pretty sad, and I didn’t think I’d get the chance to watch them again, so that’s pretty cool news.
