All the characters on my list are from current tv shows. These characters seem to be real, lively and have impact on pop culture. This list is not a credible source like most TV Guides, so this list can be debated.
House is a crank, highly intelligent doctor with a limp that specializes in weird medical cases. Although I hate medical shows, when I watched the pilot episode, I completely drew into the show. It is not like ER or any other medical show. House is more like Sherlock Holmes. He is a type of guy that you want as a relative or friend. He gives the impression of hiding something. He is so arrogant and callous but he keeps you stay because you cannot wait to hear what he will say next. His self-confidence is so huge that he has no doubt about himself. House is always sure about his success. Despite his arrogance, he knows the limits. House has no tolerance for what he believes is boring. He often puts his patient’s life and health at risk based on incomplete information and usually ignores procedures. That’s why he is like a hero. House can take risks and experiment with his patients without hesitation. Actually, House does the things that most of us hesitate to do.
Dr.Jack Shephard, leader of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Despite having control issues and trouble dealing with situations that he couldn’t fix, he did function well during crisis and lead many serious missions on the island. He always tries to take care of everyone. Especially, he is good with Juliet and Kate. Jack is like a romantic hero. He controls everything, gives important decisions and speaks his heart.
John Locke is introduced as a very brave, lonely, intellectual and warrior-like character. He is a leader like Jack but he is the leader of Others. Locke’s character is little bit complicated and has varying moods. It is difficult to decide whether he is in good mood or not. Locke can do everything to protect his beliefs. He is connected with the spirit of island. He believes the idea that he is on the island for some purpose.
One of my favorite characters. Hank Moody can be best described as very pessimistic and self-loathing. Hank is self-centered, sex addicted and a successful writer. The character is balanced between love, regret, loneliness, debauchery and morality. He has a great desire to do right thing for this ex-girlfriend and daughter. The idea of cool-parent (cool dad) best situates to his character. I bet that teenagers want to have such a dad.
