Hollywood Stars in Friends, Including Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and More
You probably watched or heard of the American sitcom Friends that aired in 1994-2004. In all these successful seasons, a lot of famous names you know appeared in some really fun roles. Here’s the list.

Friends aired for 10 seasons and it can just be the biggest American show ever. Look at the ratings, how much advertising companies paid and the paychecks of the 6 actors (Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow) and you will see that. When Friends cast appeared on Leno after the series finale, there was a specially prepared video to talk about Friends which featured Quentin Tarantino, Donald Trump and more. It is one of my favorite show and apperantly Hollywood’s too, because Friends saw guest appearances from really famous people. Here is the list. I hope I am not missing any names:
Julia Roberts- Season 2, Episode 13
Julia Roberts appeared as Chandler (Matthew Perry)’s former childhood classmate who Chandler played a nasty prank on. However she seems to have grown up to be beautiful and seems very interested in Chandler. Obviously Chandler is over the moon about but maybe she is just a little too good to be true?

Jean-Claude Van Damme- Season 2, Episode 13
Jean Claude appears in the same episode as Julia Roberts. However Jean is playing himself and Monica (Courtney Cox) and Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) fight over on who should date him. It doesn’t look like he minds dating either…or better yet, both of them.
Hugh Laurie on Friends- Season 4, Episode 24
After watching Hugh Laurie for years as Dr. Gregory House, you might find it odd to see him without the beard and in a small role but hey, this doesn’t make his part any less amusing. Rachel has gotten on a plane to stop Ross (David Schwimmer) from getting married and she can’t stop talking about it- which of course drives the guy (Laurie) sitting next to her go nuts. Oh, they are flying to England so we get to hear his real accent.
Bruce Willis- 3 episodes- Season 6, Episodes 21,22,23
Ross starts dating one of his students, Elizabeth. Even though they get along pretty well, Elizabeth’s dad (Bruce Willis)- well-hates Ross. He is a little distracted though when he starts dating Rachel.
George Clooney- Season 1, Episode 17
Rachel and Monica go to the hospital but since Rachel doesn’t have insurance, they lie and say Rachel’s name is Monica. Things would have gone smoothly if they hadn’t arranged dates with the two cute doctors they met- one of the played by George Clooney.
Sean Penn- 2 episodes- Season 8, Episodes 6 & 7
Sean plays the boyfriend of Phoebe’s identical twin (but mean) sister Ursula.
Brad Pitt – Season 8, Episode 9
Monica has invited an old pal from high school- Will. Will used to be very fat just like Monica did. So both Will (Brad Pitt) and Monica are pleasantly surprised when they realize they both became gorgeous. One problem though- Will hated Rachel in high school and he still does. It doesn’t help matters that Ross seemed to have been in an “I hate Rachel” club with Will. Oops.
Susan Sarandon- Season 7, Episode 15
Joey has been starring on &off on the soap opera Days of Our Lives. His character will finally wake up from a coma but at the expense of one of the show’s other stars, Jessica Lockhart (Susan Sarandon). Moreover Joey’s character will be possessed by Jessica so Joey has some learning to do from the seasoned yet sexy Jessica.
Alec Baldwin- Season 8, Episodes 17& 18
Well, Phoebe meets a cute, older guy but maybe he is just too..over the top. The guy is played by Baldwin.
Robin Williams and Billy Crystal- Season 3, Episode 24
The duo from Father’s Day had a very short cameo together.
Denise Richards
She played Monica and Ross’ hot cousin.
Reese Witherspoon
Reese plays one of Rachel’s sisters. She had a falling out with their dad so Rachel starts helping her out when it comes to standing on her two feet. But her shopping addiction and a close relationship with Ross might just make things difficult.
Christina Applegate- 2 Episodes, Season 9, Episode 8 and Season 10 Episode 5
If you watched Married with Children, you will recognize her as the girl wgho played thehot yet dumb Kelly Bundy. Rachel’s other spoilt sister.
Tom Selleck – 10 Episodes, various seasons
Tom Selleck appeared as Dr. Richard Doctor, a handsome and older man who happens to be Monica’s parents’ friends and has known Monica ever since she was a kid. But Monica has grown up and there is an undeniable attraction. All the girls think he is dreamy so why not give it a shot and keep it from her parents?
Michael Vartan
Our favorite French/American actor and favorite CIA agent (Alias) Michael Vartan plays the doctor son of Tom Selleck. It has been a while since Monica and Richard broke up and this boy is darn cute. But it is weird. Really weird.
Isabella Rossellini
There is a 5-numbered list of celebrities Ross and Rachel have agreed on. It’s the list of celebrities they are allowed to sleep with and it wouldn’t count as cheating.

Paul Rudd- 18 Episodes
Paul Rudd appears on several episodes as Phoebe’s boyfriend Mike. He is “The One” for Phoebe.
Chris Isaak
He wasn’t playing himself but he did get to play the guitar a bit. Remember the song Wicked Game? Or Baby did a bad bad thing? Yep, that’s Chris.

Yeah!!! I love friends, watched it from the very beginning when every woman grew her hair into the ‘Rachel’ cut. Now I believe I have seen just about every episode at least 4 times. I loved Tom Selick as a PI (even named my first horse after him! Magnum, not Tom) Loved the silly Bruce Willis (who wouldn’t!) It is a wonderful program with wonderful people.
Now I love Cougar town with Courtney Cox, it is one of my fav’s at the mo!!
