Summary of the episode of Survivor Samoa reality show continues into Week 10 as each member vies for the immunity idol as well as finding the hidden idol in order to be the sole survivor.
Night 24: The tribal members walk back to the Aigu campsite with their lighted torches. Russell relaxes on a hammock, enjoying what happened. He is proud of his latest artwork, his masterpiece. He shocked the Galu members when he took out the second hidden idol that he had found. He saved himself again. Foafoa members are all happy, laughing about their victory.
Day 25: Very early morning, around dawn. Large and turbulent waves crashing against the rocks and the shore. Russell is determined to find the hidden idol while the others are still asleep. He starts searching for it right away before they wake up. He feels this is a new beginning. The rest of the tribal members finally wake up and they fix a fire. They eat their breakfast. Someone is cracking coconuts. A lizard is watching close by as Shambo talks to John. She tells him that they need to take out Laura next. He tells her that he is not sure what he is going to do next, but he won’t tell the others what she told him.
They walk to their reward challenge. They are divided into two teams of five people in each team. One person lays in a cradle with four long ropes hanging out of it. And, four people on each team pull a rope to maneuver the cradle to move towards where they want it to go so that the person in the cradle can pull out 15 flags from the ground and place each flag into its appropriate slot that is located on the side. Each flag has a number on it, from one to fifteen. The four ropes are used to maneuver the cradle toward the flags, and then toward the slots to put the flags in their place, in consecutive order from one to fifteen. John and Natalie are both in the cradles for each team. The team with Russell, Natalie, Laura, Brett and Dave win the reward, and they go off to a small plane. Jeff gives them a small camera to take with them. As the plane flies towards a small island, they take some photos inside the plane. The plane lands in the island. They walk across a small bamboo bridge, towards the picnic lunch. There is a breathtakingly picturesque scene of a waterfall against lush greenery in the background of their picnic. They arrive at their picnic area, where there is a blanket with food set out. Around the food arrangement, there are small pillows to sit on. They are all starving, and they enjoy the hot dogs, pies, drinks, and other food. They take more pictures.
Meanwhile, Mick and Jaison talk to Monica, telling her to join their group. There are two groups in Aigu, five people from the Galu tribe and five people from the Foafoa tribe. They all remain with their original tribe groups, except Shambo, who likes Foafoa better. They need to get one of the Galu to join them so that they can take out Laura.
Back at the remote island, they check the camera for clues about the hidden idol. Russell reads, ” Go to Memo Board for a clue.” They pass it around for each one to check out the clue. There is also a short video of where the idol is hidden. They notice that the hiding place has something to do with a flat rock and moss. The idol is wrapped in something. Russell thinks that he can find the hidden idol when he gets back to the campsite.
They return to their Aigu campsite. Russell tells Jaison and Mick about the clue. Then, Russell and Jaison walk together in the forest, searching under rocks with moss. Laura and Dave follow them, spying on Russell. They think Russell is very sneaky and they don’t trust him. They want to keep him from finding the hidden idol. Russell starts to jog in the forest, trying to lose Dave. He finally loses Dave, and he returns to the area that he had checked earlier. He picks up a flat rock and he sees the hidden idol. He is happy that he found the hidden idol, for the third time. He places the wrapped idol into the pocket of his shorts.
Day 27: Monica chats with Laura, telling her that she doesn’t trust Shambo. Foafoa members are now going to come after Laura as their target.
They all walk to their immunity challenge. Jeff explains that this challenge has two parts. The first part of this challenge involves throwing rocks toward bunch of tiles, each group of tiles are different colors and each color represents a different tribal member. And, the members have to break as many tiles as they can of their own color in order to move on to the second part of the challenge. They each take turns throwing a rock. Brett breaks two of his tiles with one rock. Jaison breaks one of his tiles. Dave breaks one of Monica’s tiles. Mick breaks one of his tiles. Therefore, Mick, Brett, Jaison and Monica move on to the second part of the challenge, where they have to aim an arrow with a bow towards a round target, located at a distance, straight ahead of them. They have to try to get the arrow as close to the center target as possible in order to win immunity. Mick wins individual immunity. Jeff tells them that tonight is tribal council, before they all walk back to their campsite. As Shambo walks back, she is laughing, excited that Laura didn’t win individual immunity. She is dying to vote out Laura as she and Russell had planned. She finally has a chance. She happily walks back to the campsite in a good mood.
They arrive at the campsite, and Russell relaxes in a hammock. Laura is chopping something. Shambo talks to Brett in the forest, telling him that she is going to vote out Laura, regardless of who the others are voting for. Dave chats with John, and Laura joins them. Laura tells them to vote out Russell. Monica talks to Dave and John, telling them that she will tell the Foafoa members to vote for John, but the Galu group will actually vote for Natalie instead. John is not interested. He doesn’t want to risk being voted out in order to save Laura. It is not worth the effort. John walks away. Monica talks to Mick and Russell. She tells them that she wants John voted out next because he is too intelligent and analytical. Russell chats with Jaison, and they both come to the conclusion that they don’t trust Monica. John, Dave and Brett strategize to vote out Natalie. John and Russell chat together, and Russell tells John that the Foafoa members are voting for Laura, even though it will be a tie. They have no choice. He asks John to join them and vote out Laura. He tells John that Monica tried to get the Foafoa members to vote him out. John tells Russell that he will join them in this tribal council if they vote out one of their members in the next tribal council. Russell agrees to it, and John makes a deal with the devil, even though he feels that Russell is a player and he is full of BS. But he is confused and not sure what to do or who to vote for.
It is nighttime, and they all walk to tribal council with their lighted torches. They each chat about what is on their minds, and Dave comments that they need to take risks in order to win in this game. It all depends on lady luck. Someone else comments that they each have to play individually now as well as they each need to vote and play their own game in order to win. They each take turns voting, and Jeff counts the votes in the box. It is a tie between Laura and Natalie. They do a tiebreaker, and everyone, except Natalie and Laura, votes in the second round. Jeff counts the votes in the box, and Natalie receives 3 votes while Laura receives 5 votes. Laura is therefore the 9th person voted out as well as the 3rd person on the Jury. Foafoa ecstatically laugh at the Galu members. They are happy to get rid of Laura. Dave, Monica and Laura are shocked that John voted against them, and Laura got voted out. Jeff comments that all of the members are confused, not sure what tribe they are in, whether Galu, Foafoa or Aigu. Eric is sitting on the Jury, watching, laughing and enjoying the tribal council. He mumbles to Kelly, ” And there goes the leader.”
