Alodia Gosiengfiao to quit cosplay for Philippine live action adaptation of sentai show
Quitting cosplay to study for school? What school? It all will be revealed in this article.
In this video done by LOL host and expert cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao, she has stated that she will quit the very hobby that made her famous which is cosplay. The reason: because she wants to continue studying for “school”. But isn’t she graduated years ago?
That is what most people think, but contrary to popular belief, the “school” she is going to study in is not the usual school, but it is the famed Academia Island from the 1980’s overseas super hero show known as Super Beast Taskforce Liveman. There are rumors reporting that the ex-cosplayer will take the role of Meg Morata, also known as the Blue Dolphin in the upcoming Philippine adaptation of the said show. Other actors would include Vhong Navarro and Zanjou Marudo as the Red Falcon and Yellow Lion respectively. Super Beast Squadron Liveman is said to be released within the third quarter of the year to revitalize the great tokusatsu boom that started in the 1990’s.
In the original Japanese series, Academia Island is once a place of knowledge, technology and science to make the world a better place. But some students decide to communicate with aliens and use their technology for their own evil agenda. But there are three students from Acadamia Island that are given the task of saving the world called Livemen that must defend the Earth against the Alien Race known as Volt, by using their livepowers and their respective mechanical robots.
The former cosplayer graduated a few years ago within her college as an art student. People are skeptical to why the ex-cosplayer did this sudden move. Some said that it is for her acting career, some said that it is part of an April fool’s joke, though I’d like to believe for a fact that her part in Liveman is true in many ways.

Alodia is a horrible actress. ABSCBN is just doing this because they know how huge her fanbase is. But she is an awkward actress and she might just ruin the show.
well, she’s a host (LOL), not yet an actress, right? There’s a difference. Maybe the show is gonna be her break as an actress. Accusing a person of “horrible actress” when she has not yet began, eh? ^_^

for the love of… palpak na nga ang zaido, pati ba naman ito babastusin na nila??? super sentai has been defamed already no thanks to the US and their super sentai rip-off named power rangers, but !@#$%^&* jeeez! can’t ABSCBN do anything fruitful for once in their lives??? stop the insult!!! stop the defamation!!!
I think this is a bad thing to do. I mean seriously, everyone knows how Filipinos make their own rendition and it would suck. They started with shows like Marimar or whatever. And Zaido sucked big time.
btw, i won’t choose alodia as an actress for this show. she has this weird sounding voice(as if she’s about to cry… ALL THE TIME) and she doesn’t have any acting chops… heck, she couldn’t even read the damn idiot board/teleprompter right when she said she was quitting cosplay. @_@
